Ritmik Handpan is a handpan practice and notation app by Studio Scale. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: your rhythms stay with you, we have no accounts and collect nothing personal, and an ad is only ever shown when you ask for one.
No account, no sign-up
Ritmik Handpan has no user accounts. You never give us your name, email address or any other personal details to use the app. The one exception is entirely your choice: if you send us a worksheet for the library, you type the name you want credited (see "Sending us a worksheet").
Your rhythms stay on your device and in your iCloud
The rhythms you write or record in the Simulator, your folders, favorites and settings are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, iOS also keeps a copy in your personal iCloud storage so your files can sync between your devices. That copy lives inside your Apple account: we cannot see, access or recover it. Nothing you play or write leaves your device unless you send it, by sharing a PDF, sharing a link or submitting a worksheet.
Deleting the app deletes your data. We have no copy to delete on our side.
Purchases
Ritmik Handpan Pro is paid through Apple and the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple account settings.
To check whether a subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA), a service that validates App Store receipts on our behalf. RevenueCat receives your purchase history for Ritmik Handpan (which plan, when it started, trial and renewal status) under a random anonymous ID that the app creates. We do not send it your name, email address or advertising identifier, and it is not used for advertising or tracking. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Ads: only when you ask for one
Ritmik Handpan shows no banners and no ads that interrupt you. On the free plan, once your free saves are used, the save screen offers a choice: subscribe, or watch a short ad to save that rhythm. That is the only place an ad appears, and the app asks for an ad only when you tap that button. Ritmik Handpan Pro shows no ads at all.
The ad is provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC; for people in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited). When you choose to watch an ad, Google's ad software in the app receives:
- information about your device and the app, such as the device model, iOS version, app version and language;
- your IP address, which Google may use to estimate a general location such as your country or city;
- an identifier for this app on your device and identifiers Google uses for ads, together with how you interacted with the ad (for example whether it was shown, finished or tapped);
- diagnostic data about the ad, such as loading times and crashes.
Ritmik Handpan does not ask for Apple's permission to track you, so Google does not receive your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) from this app. We do not send Google your rhythms, file names or anything else you create in the app.
Your choice in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: before the first ad, Google shows a consent screen where you can agree or decline. If you decline, Google may still show an ad that is not personalised, as allowed by law. You can change your choice at any time from Profile → Privacy choices in the app.

Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which parts of Ritmik Handpan are actually used, and so decide what to improve next, the app sends anonymous usage statistics.
What is sent: the fact that an event happened, plus a few non-identifying details about it. For example: the app was opened; a recording was made or saved in the Simulator; playback started and for how long; which library melody was opened; a PDF was exported; the metronome was used and in which tempo range; whether an ad was offered and watched; the app's language; whether the device is an iPhone or an iPad; and whether you are on the free plan or Pro. Counts are sent only as ranges (for example "3–5"), never as exact numbers.
What is never sent in these statistics: your name, email address or contact details; the titles or content of your rhythms; your files, PDFs or folder names; your location; your device's advertising identifier; or any Apple identifier.
How you are counted: so that repeat visits can be told apart from new ones, the app creates a random identifier the first time it runs, stores it on your device and sends it in a scrambled (hashed) form. It is not derived from you, your device or your Apple account, and it cannot be linked back to you. Deleting the app erases it.
Who processes it: TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany), a privacy-focused analytics service, on our behalf. The data is stored in the European Union. TelemetryDeck does not sell data and does not use it for advertising. In Apple's terms, these statistics are "not linked to you" and "not used for tracking".
The melody library
The library of melodies is downloaded from our library server, hosted by GitHub (GitHub, Inc.). As with any download, the host sees your IP address to deliver the files. We do not receive it or use it, and nothing about you is sent with the request.
PDF export and sharing links
When you export a rhythm as a PDF, the file is created on your device. When you share a rhythm as a link, the rhythm itself is written into the link; it does not pass through our servers. Where either goes is up to you, through the standard iOS share sheet.
Sending us a worksheet
Ritmik Handpan lets you send a worksheet you have written for possible publication in the library. This only happens when you choose it, fill in the form and tick the consent box.
What is sent: the worksheet as a PDF; the name you type to be credited with it; the instrument, your app language and app version; and the wording of the consent you agreed to. Your email address is not asked for and not sent.
Where it goes: to storage we run at Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), and a notification email to us. It is used to review the submission and, if we publish it, to credit you in the library. It is never sold, never used for advertising and never added to any profile of you.
How long we keep it: until we have reviewed it, and if it is published, for as long as it is in the library, so that we can keep crediting you. If we do not publish it, we delete it.
Changing your mind: write to us at studioscale.co/apps/contact and we will remove your worksheet from the library and delete the copy we hold.
Children
Ritmik Handpan is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and we collect no personal data from anyone unless a worksheet is deliberately sent to us with a name on it.
Your rights
Unless you have sent us a worksheet, we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to look up, correct or delete on request. If you have sent one, write to us and we will show you what we hold, correct the name or delete it. For data Google receives when you watch an ad, you can change your consent from Profile → Privacy choices, and you can use the controls described in Google's privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If Ritmik Handpan ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change ships.

Yazdığın veya Simülatör'de kaydettiğin ritimler, klasörlerin, favorilerin ve ayarların cihazında saklanır. iCloud'da oturum açtıysan iOS, dosyaların cihazların arasında eşitlenebilsin diye kişisel iCloud alanında da bir kopya tutar. Bu kopya senin Apple hesabının içindedir: göremeyiz, erişemeyiz ve kurtaramayız. Çaldığın veya yazdığın hiçbir şey, sen göndermedikçe cihazından çıkmaz: PDF paylaşmak, bağlantı paylaşmak veya çalışma kâğıdı göndermek dışında.

PDF dışa aktarma ve paylaşım bağlantıları
Bir ritmi PDF olarak dışa aktardığında dosya cihazında oluşturulur. Bir ritmi bağlantı olarak paylaştığında ritmin kendisi bağlantının içine yazılır; sunucularımızdan geçmez. İkisinin de nereye gideceği, standart iOS paylaşım menüsü üzerinden tamamen senin kontrolündedir.
Bize çalışma kâğıdı gönderme
Ritmik Handpan, yazdığın bir çalışma kâğıdını kütüphanede yayımlanmak üzere bize göndermene izin verir. Bu yalnızca sen seçtiğinde, formu doldurup onay kutusunu işaretlediğinde olur.
Gönderilenler: çalışma kâğıdının PDF hâli; künyede görünmesini istediğin ad; çalgı, uygulama dilin ve uygulama sürümü; ve kabul ettiğin onay metni. E-posta adresin istenmez ve gönderilmez.
